"Das Telefonbuch" is Germany's oldest Directory
listing over 100 million Residential and Business Contacts.

The directory was created in 1881, starting in the city of Berlin
only 3 years after the first Phone Directory came out in 1878 in New Hampshire / USA
and one year after the first Directory came out in London in 1880.

Das Telefonbuch is the German Directory linked to the "historic" phonecompany.
It is part of DeTeMedien founded in 1924 als "Deutsche Reichs Postreklame"
Until 1981 De Te Medien was linked to the former State Owned German PTT
which lin 1995 became Deutsche Telekom, Deutsche Post and Postbank.

Since 2017 Deutsche Telekom sold De Te Medien now called DTM Deutsche Tele Medien.
