Deutsches Museum is considered to be the World's largest Technology Museum.

The Museum goes back to before 1903
founded under the initiative of Oscar von Miller
by the Association of German Engeneers (Verein Deutsche ingenieure).
The grounds of the Museum, an island in the river Isar were donated by the city of Munich.

Oskar von Miller
Oscar von Miller (1855 - 1934)
organised a grand opening party for the Museum 1925 may 7
at the occasion of his 70th birthday.
He is the grandfather of Buzi Moll and Dorothea (Dorle) von der Schulenburg.
