Schloss Fellenberg is a very small castle in Merzig, Saarland
nearby the French border.
The castle was built in 1858 by the Swiss manufacturer Wilhelm Tell von Fellenberg (1798 - 1880),
married to Rosalie Boch Buschmann, sister of Eugen von Boch.
Fellenberg left a foundation which is at the origin of the city's hospital.
1980 the district of Merzig Wadern transformed the building into a Museum
with the mission to promote the culture and history of the area.
1997 to 2000 the museum was renovated.
